Cats are independent and "free" animals, as Andrew Webber's musical "Cats" describes. According to Shanghai-based Wu Hongli, the first recognized full-time street cat photographer in China, these wandering bundles of joy are the freest souls in the city. Wu has taken more than 70,000 cat pictures over the past years. He has over three million followers on China's Twitter-like platform Weibo.
