Six people have been confirmed dead after a tunnel under construction collapsed in northern China's Shanxi Province.

More than 200 rescuers from various departments took part in the rescue, which concluded on Tuesday after the last victim was recovered. 

An estimated 200 cubic meters of debris was blocking the tunnel. Further investigation is underway.
