In the video taken in Yushu Prefecture, northwest China's Gansu Province, a local herdsman found his sheep pen ransacked. About a dozen of sheep carcasses were scattered on the ground, and the "thief" was still there. The herdsman found a snow leopard in the pen, who just killed and injured many of his sheep. 

As snow leopards are a nationally-protected species, the herdsman did not hurt it. After members of the local government arrived, they opened the enclosure, and let it go unharmed. The insurance company has settled the claim based on the number of dead and injured sheep.
