The end of the year is a time for reflection, giving thanks and making plans for the New Year. In this spirit, St James’ Church of Singapore, supported by The Salvation Army Singapore, the Migrant Workers Ministry Alliance and Westlite Toh Guan Dormitory, co-sponsored by Celebration of Hope, a group of churches in the city-state, joined forces to host a thank-you party for migrant workers. In total, 500 blue-collar foreign workers from Bangladesh, India, China and Myanmar, along with other nationalities, joined the party to eat, drink and be merry. The event highlighted the diverse group of overseas workers living in the multiracial and multicultural country.
