The ancient town of Pingyao ushered in the New Year with folk dancing, traditional paper-cutting and other forms of local celebrations. Many locals and tourists took part in these activities. Pingyao is a world cultural heritage with a history of around 2,800 years. A light show was also organized on the last day of 2019. The ancient walls and towers were lit up in various colors, giving a splendid look.
