It is rare to see ten thousand horses galloping together, but it is part of the local life and a tourism program at the Yili horse-breeding base, located at Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, northwest China, which is being referred to as the "Home to Horses from Heaven."
These horses are fed in stables most of the time, but herdsmen occasionally release them run on the vast grassland for exercise. This has gradually become one of the main attractions for tourists during the winter season.
