Beireng Village was one of many little known villages in rural China until development of the beautiful countryside helped the village to upgrade its overall infrastructure and attract visitors. However, despite the upgrades, the village never lost its cultural elements and local characteristics.
The village rose to fame in 2015 during the BFA when China's first lady Peng Liyuan invited several international guests to visit the village and enjoy the local hospitality and rustic charm. Since then, Beireng Village has witnessed larger tourist crowds each year.

Areca catechu and rubber trees are abundant there, as they are major commercial crops for the locals. By exploring the country lanes, visitors can catch a glimpse of the traditional way of life.
