Yu Changdong had 22 points and a game-high 14 rebounds as Xinjiang Flying Tigers shrugged off the absence of Zhou Qi and Abdusalam Abdurexit with a thrilling 120-111 victory over Sichuan Blue Whale on Thursday night. 

Kyranbek Makan added 21 points, Kay Felder collected 21, and Zeng Lingxu had 20 to help the injury-ravaged Xinjiang win their seven straight games and condemned Sichuan to their fourth successive defeat. 

Courtney Fortson finished 34 points and eight rebounds for Sichuan. Tyler Hansbrough scored 23 and Mo Mengchen pitched in 13 points. 

In Beijing, Tianjin Pioneers slumped to their sixth loss in a row as they were ruthlessly torn apart by Beijing Ducks 115-82.

Justin Hamilton had 34 points and nine rebounds for Beijing, Zhai Xiaochuan recorded 20 points, four rebounds, and six assists, and Duan Jiangpeng added 13 points and three rebounds.

Chasson Randle notched 34 points for Tianjin but failed to instigate a late rally for Tianjin as Beijing led 83-59 through three quarters.

Meanwhile, Dominique Jones posted 42 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists as Jilin Northeast Tigers beat Qingdao Eagles 104-93. Shanxi Loongs downed Guangzhou Loong Lions 124-114, and Fujian Sturgeons beat Zhejiang Lions 120-113.

Shandong Heroes staged a brilliant comeback as they overcame an 18-point deficit in the third quarter to sweep aside Bayi Rockets, who are rooted to the bottom of the table with only two wins after this latest 94-82 defeat.
