A dragon boat race on ice is held in Shenyang City, northeastern China's Liaoning Province.

Over 200 teams participate in the 17-day event on the freezing Hunjiang River.

The race is part of an ice festival to promote the traditional culture of winter activities in the city.

Performances including ice dancing and figure skating, as well as dragon boat racing, have attracted many tourists.
