The NFL on Friday released the All-Pro Team roster for the 2019 season, and 14 new faces were among those selected.  Of the 14, quarterback Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and running back Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers deserve the most attention.

Jackson, who is three days away from turning 23, had an MVP season in Baltimore. Having started 15 games for the team, he threw a total of 3,127 yards that lead to 36 touchdowns and allowed only six interceptions. On the ground, Jackson rushed 1,206 yards to achieve seven touchdowns.

Thanks to his incredible offensive performance, the Ravens managed to lead the AFC with a 14-2 record.

McCaffrey also had an epic season in 2019. He surpassed 1,000 in both rushing (1,387) and receiving (1,005) yards to become the third running back in NFL history to achieve such a feat. Of course, he's not the only record maker of the season. Wide receiver Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints created a new record by achieving 149 receptions in one season. He and cornerback Stephon Gilmore of the New England Patriots became the only two unanimous selections of this season's All-Pro Team. Gilmore's defensive role for the defending champion was almost perfect.

Several old names again made the list. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams, linebacker Bobby Wagner of the Seattle Seahawks and CB Richard Sherman of the San Francisco 49ers all received nods to join the All-Pro Team for the fifth time.

Like their success in the Pro-Bowl roster, the Ravens again became the biggest contributor to the All-Pro Team with five nods. Thanks to that, the AFC beat the NFC in sections 16-13.
