The China-initiated Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was established on December 25, 2015. The AIIB focuses on much needed infrastructure development projects in Asia to better promote connectivity and economic integration for the region. Today, conditions in over 1,400 poor neighborhoods in Indonesia are being improved with the help of the AIIB. Suryatmajan Village in Jogyakarta is one of them.
