World's oldest person celebrates 117th birthday in Japan

Kane Tanaka, aged 117, is recognized as the world's oldest living person by Guinness World Records.

Kane, who lives in a nursing home in the city of Fukuoka, turned 117 on January 5, 2020.

The actual birthday celebration takes place three days later.
