Funeral processions are underway in Iran for Qasem Soleimani, the country's most powerful and revered military commander who was killed on January 3 in a U.S. drone strike in Baghdad. On Monday, streets of Tehran were packed with a throng of mourners bidding farewell to their top general. Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei also led prayers at the Tehran funeral before the remains were taken to the holy city of Qom for a ceremony at Masumeh shrine. Soleimani will be laid to rest in his hometown of Kerman as part of the three-day ceremonies across the country.
