Over the past year, the CGTN Nature filming crew has been to 17 provinces and autonomous regions across China to capture the unseen beauty in remote areas. Every shoot is an unforgettable experience full of challenges that have pushed our limits, physically and mentally. 

This video shows only a fraction of the story of the team's exploration deep into the primeval forest in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province where they found relic plants and rarely disturbed landscape.
