Canadian police said one person was killed and three others were seriously injured after multiple gun shots were reported in the central part of the Canadian capital city of Ottawa. 

The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday with the scene cordoned off as an investigation is ongoing.

Police said it's no longer considered an active shooter situation and that a suspect is still at large.

Initial report said there were "many injuries" following the shooting.
