The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a measure aimed at curbing President Donald Trump's power to launch further military action against Iran. The war resolution is non-binding. It demands the White House not engage in military activity against Tehran unless authorized by Congress. The move comes after the U.S. assassinated Iran's top general last Friday, escalating tensions between the two countries. Asia Today invited Professor Hamed Mousavi from the University of Tehran and Pieter Cleppe, head of the Brussels office of the think tank Open Europe, to share their views on the current U.S.-Iran conflict and the EU's role.
