Iran said on Saturday that its military "unintentionally" brought down a Ukrainian International Airlines passenger jet, which was carrying 176 people when it crashed minutes after taking off from Tehran on Wednesday, killing everyone on board. The fatal incident had happened just hours after Iran attacked U.S.-led military bases in Iraq amid heightened tensions between the two countries. "Because of human error and in an unintentional way, the flight was hit," a military statement read.
