Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has taken a ride on the Mombasa-Nairobi railway in Kenya as part of his Africa tour. He inspected the project's operation, saying it's a symbol of China's friendship with Africa, and a positive result of the Belt and Road Initiative. The railway, which stretches more than 470 kilometers, was built with Chinese funding and technical know-how. Its construction created about 30,000 local jobs.
