Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng to attend WEF annual meeting, visit Switzerland

Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Monday.

Spokesperson Geng Shuang said Vice Premier Han will visit Switzerland and attend the Annual Meeting from January 20 to 21, invited by Guy Parmelin, Vice President of Switzerland and Klaus Martin Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the WEF.

The WEF Annual Meeting will celebrate its 50th anniversary from January 21 to 24, 2020.

Guided by the WEF's mission – improving the state of the world, the Annual Meeting held at the beginning of every year. It brings together the world's top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional and industry agendas and to address the most pressing issues on them.

Seven themes stand out as important in the four-day Annual Meeting, including Fairer Economies, Better Business, Healthy Futures, Tech for Good, Beyond Geopolitics, and How to Save the Planet.
