Shanghai suspends official ties with Prague

Shanghai says it is suspending official ties with Prague. The announcement by the municipal government comes after Prague Mayor Zdenek Hrib and Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je signed a "sister city" agreement in the Czech capital, along with other cultural and tourism deals. In a statement, Shanghai authorities expressed stern opposition to the move,  saying it "wantonly" interferes in China's internal policies and publicly challenges the "one-China" principle.
