Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, called for unity and coordination among non-CPC parties under the leadership of the CPC to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects and eliminate extreme poverty by the end of 2020. Xi made the remarks on Tuesday at a meeting with non-CPC representatives at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
