Asian markets retreat as sides prepare to sign Phase One

China and the United States are scheduled to wrap up the first phase of their trade deal in Washington on Wednesday. After a week of gains in the leadup to the signing, Asian markets fell today with analysts seeing little room for more progress ahead of a presidential election in the U.S. later this year.
