Defending champion Guangdong Southern Tigers defeated the Jilin Northeast Tigers 123-100 on Tuesday night, marking their 10th consecutive win in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

In Dongguan, south China's Guangdong Province, the home team extended their winning streak to 10 games after taking revenge on Jilin, which is one of the only two teams to have beaten Guangdong this season.

Guangdong held a slender 91-85 advantage after the third quarter and improved their defensive strength in the final quarter to hold Jilin to only 15 points.

"We had a bad offensive efficiency," lamented Wang Han, head coach of Jilin.

Five players reached double figures for Guangdong, as Marshon Brooks had 29 points, four rebounds and eight assists. Yi Jianlian added a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Zhao Rui, who won the All-star MVP last weekend, scored 14 points.

Dominique Jones scored a game-high 35 points, eight rebounds and nine assists for Jilin.
