M5.6 earthquake hits NW China's Xinjiang

A magnitude-5.6 earthquake struck Kuqa County in Aksu, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Thursday at a depth of 16 km, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The quake took place at 16:32 p.m. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
