Microsoft looking to be carbon negative by 2030

The scientific consensus is loud and clear: our planet is confronting an urgent carbon crisis. A number of major tech companies in the U.S. are implementing measures to lower their footprint – none more so than Microsoft. In the coming decade, the software giant says it will remove more carbon than it emits from the atmosphere and, by the middle of the century, it will have removed 50 years of carbon emissions. To deliver, the corporation says it plans to invest 1 billion dollars in clean technologies.
