"AI requires a lot of mathematicians, requires a lot of supercomputers, and requires a lot of super connectivity and super storage. In those areas, China is still starting when it comes to science and technology. Therefore, the U.S. is over-concerned," said Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, on "averting a tech war" at the 50th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The annual Davos meeting lasts four days from January 21, and it's a place where global leaders gather to discuss trade, tech regulation, growth, and climate change.
