Spring Festival with an international flavor: A Canadian expat in Beijing

When Daniel Mulroy, originally from Canada, first attended a Spring Festival feast in China in 2001, he was amazed to see the grand meal at his boss's home and couldn't understand why the family spent all day cooking for only a few people. Mulroy met his future wife Ge Qian, a Beijing local, in Canada and followed her all the way to the Chinese capital. They are now raising two little children. Here's his story.
