Hong Kong declares highest emergency response amid coronavirus outbreak
Carrie Lam, the chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), declared the highest emergency response in the city amid the coronavirus outbreak on Saturday.
At a press conference, Lam said the suspension of flights and trains between Hong Kong and Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak on the mainland, will be indefinite.
All official visits to the Chinese mainland will be halted and Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations cancelled in Hong Kong, she added.
