In this edition of Tech It Out, we take a look at how artificial intelligence can diagnose diabetes in just a glance. The development is expected to plug the shortage of Chinese ophthalmologists.

In Science Saturday, we review major science news of the past two weeks that made headlines around the world, including the world's first living, self-healing robot created from frog stem cells, the "PigeonBot" to learn how birds control their flight with their wings, a human brain from 2,600 years ago, two forms of bacteria that produced floral patterns, and SpaceX's aim of launching astronauts this spring.

We also go to Guangzhou, where a botanical garden belonging to the Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of the few places in China to see the Jade Vine – an exotic plant from the Philippines.
