Testing the nucleic acid of the novel coronavirus is the crucial part of epidemic control. Most hospitals are now sending samples to disease control centers. The Wuhan Union Hospital affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology says it is gathering experts from different departments to improve diagnosis and treatment of patients by setting up nucleic acid test lab inside the hospital. It says it will be able to carry out tests for 200 nucleic acid samples per day and shorten the testing time into six hours, which will improve the capacity to confirm new cases.
