Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva holds a press conference on the helicopter crash in California that killed basketball star Kobe Bryant. All nine people in the helicopter were killed in the accident. Bryant's 13-year-old daughter Gianna, nicknamed Gigi, was also killed in the crash. Bryant and his daughter had been expected at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks for a basketball game scheduled for Sunday. Bryant was an 18-time All-Star and five–time NBA champion. Nicknamed the Black Mamba, he twice led the NBA in scoring and won the league's Most Valuable Player award in 2008.
