Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Beijing. President Xi said China is making cooperation with the WHO seriously, and that it welcomes WHO experts to visit Wuhan. He added that the country is confident and capable of winning the battle against the outbreak. The WHO chief thanked China for its timely response and sharing the coronavirus gene sequence. He also said that he's confident in China's ability to contain the new virus. Meanwhile, the WHO is revising its assessment of the outbreak, saying the risk is "very high in China at the regional and global levels." But it does not necessarily mean an international health emergency should be declared.
