A number of popular scenic spots across China have been temporarily closed in a bid to avoid tourist gatherings and block the spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Tibet Autonomous Region in southwestern China has suspended the operation of all its scenic spots to tourists starting Monday, according to the local tourism development bureau.
Tibet is the only provincial region in China that hasn't reported any novel coronavirus cases. For those who have already purchased tickets for sightseeing in the region and wish to cancel their trips, they can get a refund for free, the bureau said.
