Strong winds gusting across Southern California have toppled a newly installed portion of the U.S.-Mexico border wall. Several panels of the barrier fell over to the Mexican side.
The 30-foot-tall (9.1-meter) panels had just been anchored in concrete, so they had not yet set when the gusts hit, according to local media. U.S. Customs and Border Protection are working to retrieve the panels.
