Cally lily, or the arum lily, is a flower species native to South Africa. Its elegant shape and color is a reflection of its name "calla," which means beauty in Greek. It is now cultivated worldwide, and as a guest from a warm place, this flower requires warm temperature and enough water to thrive. In China, it is cultivated in provinces like Jiangsu, Yunnan and Sichuan.

Spring is a good season to grow it in your pot or garden. And even with little care, it will produce flowers that bloom from late spring till September. If you have a friend who is going to get married, why not plant a few and make a bridal bouquet as a gift to him or her?
