Several hospitals from different cities, including Wuhan and Shenzhen, found viral nucleic acids in feces and rectal swabs. These research teams believe that the novel coronavirus still has certain fecal-oral transmission, not just droplet and contact transmissions. They stress the much-repeated recommendation to frequently wash hands.
