The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that some countries are ignoring the World Health Organization's advice on the new coronavirus. The ministry said that countries with sound health systems should not be imposing excessive restrictions on travel related to China. In an online press conference, the ministry said even U.S. media and experts have questioned their government's travel restrictions, which include barring entry by foreigners who have been to China in the last 14 days before their arrival in the United States. The ministry reminded that the WHO had advised against travel and trade bans, adding that the virus knows no borders. China has called on all countries to work together to face the public health crisis.
