The results of the first contest in the 2020 U.S. presidential battle - the Iowa caucuses - are now coming through. President Donald Trump is the winner on the Republican side, while the Democratic Party has announced a delay in their results due to quality checks. These are the first votes in the country - with Republicans and Democrats deciding which candidates should represent the parties in November. Democratic voters had eleven choices to challenge Trump. The frontrunners are Senator Bernie Sanders, and former Vice President Joe Biden. After Iowa, the race will move on to the other three early-voting states of New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, later in February.
