Beijing saw its second snowfall of the Year of Rat on Wednesday as many parts of the city were blanketed in white.

The heavy snowfall has turned the city into a winter wonderland as the snow depth in most areas reached three to seven centimeters.

However, due to the country's novel coronavirus outbreak, the streets looked empty as many residents chose to stay indoors instead of going outside to enjoy the snow.
