The spring appears to be coming as plums blossoms are seen in full bloom on Nanjing's Jimingsi Road, east China's Jiangsu Province, just by the "Start of spring" on February 4.

Besides the Jimingsi Road, there are other scenic spots in the city to enjoy the plum blossom, including the well-known Plum Blossom Hill and the Xuanwu Lake.

Nanjing is one of the best places in China to enjoy plum blossoms. Plum tree cultivation in Nanjing can be traced back 1,500 years to the Six Dynasties period.

The best season to see plum blossoms usually falls between February to March. Flower season in the city will continue with the cherry blossom season from March to April.
