Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized that China's stringent measures are not only responsible for the health of the Chinese people, but also a huge contribution to world public safety.

Xi made the remarks in phone talks with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Thursday.

Noting that the preventative measures are taking positive effect, Xi assured the Saudi King that China pays great attention to the health and safety of all the Saudi citizens along with other foreign citizens in China.

King Salman lauded China's efforts to contain the disease, stressing that Saudi Arabia will always stand with China under any condition.

Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to its comprehensive strategic partnership with China and is expected to enhance friendly cooperation with China, he said.
