Lucy, a documentary production worker in Beijing, is from Wuhan. Because of the novel coronavirus outbreak in the city, she could not go back home to celebrate the Spring Festival with her parents. Lucy and her mother, therefore, agreed to document their day on Chinese New Year's Eve. It was the first time her mother had recorded a vlog using a mobile phone, helped, of course, by Lucy. The vlog shows how an ordinary family kept apart by the outbreak spent the Chinese New Year.
