February 8th, 2020, is the fifteenth day of first month in the Year of the Rat by Chinese lunar calendar. Traditionally, the day is the "Lantern Festival," on which people display hand-made lanterns with all kinds of flowers and decorations. In many provinces, especially southern parts of China, flower markets are open and people visit these street markets to buy fresh flowers, bonsais, and even mini fruit trees.
