Many communities have been closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Yichang City, Central China .

As a result, some property management staff have been grocery shopping for residents. Pan Xiaoling is one of many volunteers. She helps residents older than 80 to buy foodstuff because they don't know how to use online apps. After delivering the groceries, Pan hurries to a drug store to get medicines for those who need them.

The volunteers have also set up a group purchase service. Residents make their supermarket orders in a social media group. The goods are also loaded onto buses which travel through urban communities where residents can make complete their purchases on the spot. The local transportation department has set up a vehicle fleet to guarantee supply of staple foods. The community has over 20 staff who support over 1,500 families.
