Defensive end Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns was reinstated from his infinite suspension by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday.

"We welcome Myles back to our organization with open arms. We know he is grateful to be reinstated, eager to put the past behind him and continue to evolve and grow as a leader. We look forward to having his strong positive presence back as a teammate, player and person in our community," said Andrew Berry, EVP of football operations and general manager of the Browns.

In last few minutes of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 14, 2019, Garrett ripped off the helmet of the Steelers' quarterback Mason Rudolph and used it as a weapon to hit Rudolph in the head. The fight led to a large-scale collision between the players of the two teams. As a result, three players were suspended and over 10 were fined as punishments.

Though Garrett claimed that Rudolph used racist slur against him during the fight, the league found no evidence of that and maintained his punishment.

On Monday, Garrett met with Commissioner Goodell in New York and discussed about his return to the league. Two days later, Garrett was set free. According to Cleveland.com, the reinstatement came with certain terms and conditions. For example, Garrett may need to go through anger management counseling.

Garrett's return is absolutely good news for the Browns. He was selected by the team with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and exploded in the 2019 season by dropping 10 sacks in 10 games. How important is he to the Browns? They lost over 30 points on average without him in the last three games of the season.
