Nigel Dixon is known as Mr. Pea on Chinese social media platforms. He is an English actor, who is the official acting double for Comedian Rowan Atkinson's character, Mr. Bean. Nigel arrived in Wuhan City for tourism in early January. After the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China, he chose to stay in Wuhan rather than going back home so as to not contract the virus.

He stayed at a rental apartment in Wuhan for most of the time, exercising, reading books, and painting. He also recorded encouraging videos for Wuhan, which have gone viral on multiple short video platforms, and received many positive comments. "Staying in Wuhan is the support I could give to the people of China. People can go through this tough time in a positive way," he said.
