The Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of China's State Council holds its daily news briefing on the latest situation of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

During Friday's news conference, Chinese officials brief the progress of medical research against novel coronavirus including the screening of drugs and the development of vaccines. After consultations with the World Health Organization (WHO), more experts from WHO will arrive in Beijing this weekend. They will put forward suggestions for China and the global community on the prevention and control of coronavirus.
