Both China's top legislature and its top advisory body are considering postponing their nation-wide annual gatherings amid the coronavirus outbreak. The two sessions, also known as the country's political season, are usually held in March. Each year thousands of delegates and representatives come to Beijing from all around the country. But a National People's Congress spokesperson said this is a time to curb the spread of the epidemic and guarantee people's health. The NPC Standing Committee will make a decision during its bi-montly sesson next Monday. They will also discuss banning illegal wildlife trade and eliminating the "bad habits" of eating wild animals to guarantee people's lives, health and safety.
