Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday met his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Binh Minh in the Lao capital Vientiane. During their talks, Wang spoke of China's progress in combating and controlling the COVID-19 outbreak. He said China appreciates Vietnam's hosting of the special ASEAN-China meeting on the coronavirus disease. Wang called for stronger cooperation and improved information-sharing between China and ASEAN countries to jointly fight the outbreak. 

The Chinese Foreign Minister also met his Thai counterpart, thanking Thailand for its support of China and its respect for the WHO's recommendation to take reasonable measures on Chinese travelers to contain the spread of the epidemic.
