The suspect in two shooting incidents that killed 10 people in Hanau, Germany on Wednesday has been found dead at his home with another body nearby, according to local police.
Media reported that the German federal prosecutors are taking charge of the investigation.
"There are currently no indications of other perpetrators," the police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing. The motive for the shootings is still unclear.
Media reported there were two shootings; the first was at a bar in the city center and the second in Hanau's Kesselstadt neighborhood.
Heavily armed police have sealed off two streets in Hanau, and police officers and helicopters patrolled both areas.
Hanau, in the state of Hessen in Germany, is located about 25 kilometers (15 miles) east of Frankfurt.
